Thank you for considering sponsorship of HousingFest – the music festival dedicated to ending homelessness in Charlotte. HousingFest sponsorship provides your organization with high community visibility and opportunities for client entertainment while fostering goodwill by branding your business as one that cares for our most vulnerable citizens. If you don’t see a sponsorship level that fits your needs, please let us know. We will work together to find a giving level that is right for you.
Presented by the Urban Ministry Center (UMC), HousingFest features Mandolin Orange on June 20, 2019, at Knight Theater. Last year’s concert, featuring Mavis Staples and Buddy Guy, was a blast and we raised enough to provide affordable housing with supports for six people. The 2016 HousingFest concert featuring Josh Ritter as the headliner, was given the “critics choice” award for Best Concert for a Cause in Creative Loafing’s annual Best of Charlotte issue.
HousingFest began with the idea that music can unite community members in the movement to end chronic homelessness. The inaugural HousingFest in 2014 featured legendary, Grammy-Award winning performers The Blind Boys of Alabama and Jim Lauderdale. Held at Charlotte’s Neighborhood Theatre, HousingFest 2014 was a sold-out event, with well over 800 people in attendance.
